Exercise – The Biggest Winner
The 2009 season 7 of the Biggest Loser recently crowned their winner. Two of the last three lost over 200 pounds in about 5 months. One has to remember that while they are on the ranch the contestants get a tremendous amount of exercise and calorie control. It sorta reminds me of my boot camp days but this is not about boot camp, it is about becoming healthy.
I was amazed that at least two on the program were able to stop taking several of the medications they were on and even were considered diabetes free. It takes a lot to control diabetes, I know because I am a diabetic. I neither weigh enough nor have the time to spend all day exercising so would not wind up on the show. But I have lost about 30 pounds over the last 5 years.
